I had concerns about the security of the phone being held into the dot view case and it's one of the reasons I went for the Spigen.

Hmmm, mine seems to have fallen victim to the Camera scratching issue, was weird though as it happened over night! So, what is the accepted wisdom here, get eh autoglym out or head to CPW to see if they will swap it over?
Take a look at the pics I posted and see what you think... Mine's come up beautifully.

Yep, battery life on mine is excellent, no complaints here.

For those of us still on stock ROMs and EE, 4.4.3 system update is now finally available.

EE last to release yet again...

I've had 4.4.3 for a while now. Fortnight maybe?

Yep.

Edit. Though I sourced the handset through CPW so it's not EEified... do EE devices have bespoke firmware?

Edited by hornetrider on Wednesday 24th September 21:40
Yes, EE-supplied handsets have a bespoke build, hence the delay. CPW ones will be HTC's standard build.

Interestingly EE are showing as 'Push To Customer' on this update already but nothing in my updates... Damn you, EE.

In addition to the instructions above, it should automatically turn off the display as you put it to your ear, is yours not doing this?

If anyone's had issues with their HTC Backup failing at around 57%, the reason is the fkING FACEBOOK APP (which I don't even use and can't uninstall).

Head into the apps, force stop it and re-run your backup - it should work just fine.

Interesting, I stopped them the other day as I noticed it never seemed to finish and it was pissing me off.
Mine still won't backup to Google but it will successfully backup to Dropbox.

Looks like it might be doable, they're identical hardware-wise apparently...

Thought about rooting and hacking it but cba.

Have it on my Nexus 7 and it's nice enough. I'll wait til it rolls out officially from HTC.

Still stock. Got it on my Nexus 7 and not fussed about having it immediately on the phone.

Hmmm seems it's hidden in a menu labeled trust agents. You have to enable smart lock there first. This is contrary to what I had read about activating this feature. It may be due to having developer mode also enabled.
It looks quite neat though. Just enabled it to stay unlocked when I get home...

Anyone else got juddery transition from Apps to Home screen? Not as smooth as it used to be.

Edit: was the addition of the power widget. The old one isn't on the phone any more (I used it loads) and the alternative isn't as good.

Well I like the UI tweeks, whole thing seems to run smoother and I have so far not had a single issue with it.

Nothing is really that different other than the UI as far as I can see!
Fundamental change from Dalivk to Art runtime...
