I've found that once I'm setup for it, I rarely find myself with a dead iPhone. Most of the time it's when I've forgotten to charge overnight or whenever.

I've got a charger at home and one in the car. That seems to work for me!

Cheers

Will there be a software update avalable for the 3gs ?
Yea, iOS 4 is coming on on the 21st of June. All the features will be available for the 3GS.. Not all of the things will be available for the 3G.
Thanks for the reply.
And jailbreak?
Jail break, so I can use the phone as a WiFi point with an iPad.
Cough, couldn't confirm I'd do that wink

Looks pretty cool.

I've had my 3gs about a year, I'll certainly look at upgrade to this.

Depending on price I'll have one on launch day I think. Just the thing to replace my utterly crap old HTC Touch Dual. Can't wait to get rid of the POS!

My iPhone 4 will be replacing an HTC Touch, so a pretty similar leap forward to you. It was quite a neat small handset when I got it though...

It's a big building with patients, but that's not important right now.

Do you know that quoting a funny film does not in fact make you funny.

OK, I'm certainly not an Apple fan, and much of the fanboy stuff actually puts me off their products, but having just watched the video for the new phone I am left wondering if Apple have been just a little bit hidden away from reality over the last few years. Video calling, only iphone to iphone and only when on wi-fi - isn't that somewhat restricting and something that could be done about the same with two webcams which could be connected or built in to anything, or has been available, but not used, on almost all 3G phones? Making a fuss about a 5mp camera with an LED flash? I had that on my phone when the iphone was first introduced. 720p video, not exactly new. Multi-tasking, what a novelty, a couple of generations ago my Sony Ericsson phone was doing that.

The screen looks great, I am sure it will be nice to operate, but the guys on the video do seem a bit full of themselves whilst ignorant of what else is available.

Sorry, it had to be said wink

I got my 3G in May of last year so I really hope o2 do something for an upgrade!

My plan was to simply buy a PAYG iPhone 4 and put my sim in there but as it uses the micro sim I won't be able to do that.

Fingers crossed o2 are really kind and let me upgrade early, for extra cost of course.

Everything you said was true, and we all know that, but I for one, still want one, my brain even tells me I should research android phones, but I just know that it won't be an iPhone.

I do agree without about the people on the video, I can't stand American 'corporate' high up marketing crap like that, the american part of the company I work for do it too, and whenever we see it we want to hide away and pretend we're not part of it.

Come 24th though, I'll be (probably 3074th) in line.

But that's the point, Apple have never ever done anything amazing or new, everything about their products is pretty non-revolutionary, it's more about how they consistently package and execute a fantastic product made up perfected components.

I agree with the timesacles you mention and much isn't new, but isn't it still a fact that although they may seem behind, then way it works is lightyears ahead of the competition.

I run a business and we've had nokia and samsung phones over the years and none of them do what apple do as well. To set up an iPhone to communicate with exchange takes seconds and works. To set up a nokia or samsung phone takes forever and often is troublesome.

But then I like apple wink

I work towards self-amusement. Which it does achieve.
