4 hours and 96%. Wont bother with any more updates, don't worry. But safe to say it seems much better.

Be interested to hear how it goes. How much did your battery life later by when you first put 4.2 on?

Mr BliarOut, are we missing some words from this sentence? wink

Was having to charge the phone about twice a day when I installed 4.2. And was losing about 40% overnight, compared to about 15% I guess.

This discussion would have been better had it occurred *before* I rebuilt mine... Still, as an old guy I once worked with said, "To increase your knowledge you have to double your rate of failure". biggrin

On the upside, now 4.2 is settled battery life seems to be back to how it was when she was running 3.x thumbup

Really, all technology is female.

it is:
Fickle,
Will let you down when you need it most,
Prone to random bouts of weird behaviour,
Doesn't like being excessively cold or wet,
Is kinda sexy and you wouldn't want to be without it...

Just to bore you all further. 50% battery left after 22 hours. Pretty light usage though.

But if you want to restore the phone as new to solve the problem, who am I to stop you. wink

I have not restored the IPAD to started again.. I have just let it drain compeltely and then done a long charge for 18 hours+

It seems to be holding charge better, and so far 12 hours of light use doen to 60%

Installed iOS 4.2 on to my iPhone 4 yesterday, no problems with that either seems to be working well although not much difference from 4.0
