Always on only uses less than 1% per hour and hasn't been an issue for my battery life.
This is my experience, had the phone off charge since 9am (nearly 5 hours now) and showing 98% remaining, I reckon over the course of 24hrs it'll take less than 10% battery.

Really? Maybe it's something else draining my battery. As I woke up in the morning and it had lost 17% over 8 hours.

Getting mine tomorrow in Onyx Black. Hope it's a worthwhile upgrade from my Note 4.

Meant to ask if anyone has a recommendation for a screen protector. Lots of mixed reviews online and I suspect they're a nightmare to fit with the curved screen.

I wouldn't bother with a screen protector, the gorilla glass is enough.

I accidentally bought a clear case for the edge when I have the non edge, got it on eBay now if anyones interested, item number 191832759247

Sadly even with its latest Gorilla glass screen it can still scratch, just seen a demo unit in a shop with a few scratches.

Yes. It was a freebie to people that pre-ordered the S7.
I have one and it's a hoot, next up is the wireless game controller.

Anyone using the S HEALTH app, seems good for counting steps but what else can it do?

Slightly O/T - Is there any add on gadget that will measure data when you cycle?

What type of data? A BT heart rate monitor will connect straight to the phone and Strava will log it and the GPS data to the Strava site. Iirc the galaxy line supports ant+ so you could use a cadence sensor in theory.

Well, it detects when you walk but not when you cycle?

I thought that Strava detected when you were cycling due to the speed and accelerometer data or you may need to tell it that you are cycling rather than running.

I took the plunge and upgrades to the S7 edge and am not really impressed with the battery life. Does it improve after a couple of charge cycles? Apart from that I really like it so far.

I'm impressed with mine. Been using it a reasonable amount today and it's on 69% now, thats with the always on screen active too. I've never seen it go below 45% since I had it.

Since switching from the iPhone 6 a couple of weeks ago I've been really happy with all aspects of the S7E.

Nothing at all but coming from a Z3 which has amazing battery life and hearing that the S7 Edge has the best battery of any phone I guess I was just expecting a big improvement. It must be that the sites I read for reviews are mostly American and don't have the Z3 over there to compare it to.

I'm really happy with the phone and it is a big step up from the Sony apart from the battery which is very similar.

Has anyone managed to redeem those headphones?

Every time I try (after having had to wait 14 days before I could apply!) I submit my details and it just says 'user session expired due to inactivity', doesn't matter how fast I fill in the form it won't go through.
