What's the betting on my good lady's netbook having a fit part way through the upgrade and leaving me with a partially bricked iPad, like when I did the 4.1 upgrade on the iPhone 3G?

mine did say two hours, but on returning to the computer, it has failed half way, my internet is seriously flakey at the moment! grr, doesn't bode well for doing the ipad later!

I did the update, and the carrier update which came afterwards on my iPhone. Then I received 12 hitherto unreceived SMS messages from various times today (9am -5pm) Phone being stupid, or O2 being stupid? Slightly miffed about that as two of them were pretty important

Mines taking ages to download, servers must be getting hammered!

Won't be able to get it on my iPhone though as I'll end up getting locked out again, need to wait for an unlock to become available. God I wish I hadn't bought an Orange locked iPhone

O2 probably, I get similar with GiffGaff who run of the O2 network, and my iPhone 4 is still running iOS4 like it was when I got it 3 months ago.

So far, seems pretty much the same speed as 4.1 - i.e. not quite as fast as 3.x, but not intolerably slow like 4.0 was.

On a 3GS the camera seems a bit quicker to open. It'd been impossibly slow for me (as in click 'camera' from the home screen, wait 10 seconds to get past the pretend shutter pic).

Still waiting for the download, been sat at '17 minutes remaining' for the past hour. It is downloading... just very slowlyyyyy
