Sadly even with its latest Gorilla glass screen it can still scratch, just seen a demo unit in a shop with a few scratches.
Couldn't find a screen protector that got good reviews so bought some liquid nano stuff which supposedly adds a protective layer. Sounds like nonsense but actually gets good reviews and initial impressions are really good. Silky smooth and pretty resistant to fingerprints.

Also went with a smoked TPU case from Amazon for a fiver. A perfect fit and the whole thing still fits in the slip case I had for my Note 4. Should keep it safe!

Has anyone managed to redeem those headphones?

Every time I try (after having had to wait 14 days before I could apply!) I submit my details and it just says 'user session expired due to inactivity', doesn't matter how fast I fill in the form it won't go through.
Yes. I was reading just now some guy on the OCUK forum who had just received his seemed happy with them.

I have one and it's a hoot, next up is the wireless game controller.
Any suggestions on best VR games or experiences to try out?

Apparently Pornhub now have a 360degree view, built for VR wink . I've yet to see it.
Not sure on games just yet, but there was a car demo, that puts you inside a car. And there are a few demos in the Samsung library, which can be downloaded for free.

That's going to put a new angle on the headphones/cup of tea from mum urban myth.

I find the battery life on mine adequate. Can sometimes finish the day on 60% remaining

I am using Google now launcher which I like for being simple. I agree that the latest touchwiz is more that agreeable though. If you're after ultimate customisation then I belive nova launcher is the one.

Using Nova on mine. Best launcher there is as far as I'm concerned and all the Edge functions work perfectly.

I have to say I'm probably using less Nova functions than ever before. But I do love the option of more items in the dock and being able to asign a second function to a swipe upwards on an icon. This, combined with the Edge panel, means a nice clean homescreen.

Awesome phone as well.

Getting my S7 today. Whats the best way to upgrade from the S5? I'm particularly interested in taking over the two lists from the S5 of the 'junk' numbers, the 'auto-reject' list for numbers that phone me, and the junk texts that are auto-deleted. I could really do without having to populate those again...

I've done a WhatsApp backup (to Google Drive) which was something I didn't even know about until I read this thread!

Most media is on my SD card already, which will be transferred.

cheers

Found a couple of ace free games for VR; Smash Hit and Shooting Showdown 2, both very fun. The former is very "in your face," I can't help but flinch when an object hits me in the face

Ok so with the Gear VR Headset, when you plug in the phone it launches the Oculus app. Have they done this so you can only use their VR software?

Perhaps I haven't sussed it out too well yet but there doesn't appear to be a lot of VR stuff to play with, must be early days I suppose?

Potential is huge though, awesome to think what it will all be like in a few months, its like going from Radio to TV!

You can disable that app from launching. See earlier in this thread.

Anyone else notice that the Occulus video update now allows you to use the cinema app for anything on internal or external storage in any folder? Before it was just internal and in the Oculus>movies folder.
