Nokia Drive and Nokia maps were updated today. Maps now does traffic and Drive has speed limits, full offline mode, better destination history and some additional display options. It's very good for the asking price of no pounds and no pence.
Do you knowr if it is possible to save a Home destination in maps?

You can at maps.nokia.com, but not in the app.

BTW, try the Nokia Maps 3d plugin and go to London.

Quite spooky, really.

IIRC it's the 8107 bit that's important.
It's the 12070 bit that's important - that's the one with the improved battery life and sound quality. What is quite sad is that I know this and I don't even have one.

You can save Favourites. One of which could be home?

Update done to 12070, phone is now idling at about 70mAh which is approximately half what it was using before. For my usage that would equate to an easy 2 day battery life but we'll see. Music sounds better through the headphones as well. The only problem was that I did the update in Windows 7 and all my libraries are now in Windows 8 so it deleted all the music from my phone banghead

Think mine needs an update asap then. Just ran the diagnostics on mine, with absolutly nothing running it's idling at 300mA

I tried turning everything off and setting screen brightness etc. to low and it's still at 120-130 how on earth did you get it down to 70? My phone has had all the updates too.

Not sure why it is so different. I don't have any background apps running but it is synchronising 2 push email accounts and the Wi-Fi radio is turned on but not connected. I have the black background display set rather than the white, the display is set to auto and looks like medium.

I have sent numerous texts, read quite a few emails, made a 2 minute phonecall and been on Facebook today. I took it off charge at 7am and still have 81% left.

You might not be able to download the new update yet, it only came out in the UK in the past couple of days so not all the carriers have it yet.

Settings, about, more information, firmware revision number. Should end in 12070 for the latest version, but as stated it isn't available on all carriers yet. I'm on O2 and have it.

Ta, mines on 11501 and no sign of an update on Orange. Static is about 140 currently, and I dont think I have much running.

Mine was 140 before the update. They are still rolling it out, patience young padawan wink

I'm genuinely shocked at the difference from a simple firmware update. My phone is on 70% with moderate usage and has not been charged for 13 hours

Power down the phone and restart it. May well have a dodgy app hogging the power

Go to Nokia .com and see if you can update direct from there.

What does the battery "state of health" number mean? How do I know if mine's good or not?

Having read the thread again it appears I'm running the old firmware but Orange are not offering the update yet, fingers crossed they do it soon as I am losing my patience with the fecking thing.
