Not true.
Watching a stream is not illegal.
Downloading it / saving it / storing it. Providing the stream in the first place IS illegal.
Okay, if a pub is displaying illegal streams, you being in there watching it is not illegal.Watching a stream is not illegal.

At home where your name is on the Internet connection, it is illegal. There's literally no difference between streaming and downloading, other than its stored in temporary memory rather than saved more permanently.
Besides, regardless of legality, it's morally wrong to not be paying content creators for something you clearly want to watch.

European Court of Justice ruled in 2014 that streaming content that is not saved is not illegal. (Link below is from Wiki but is accurate)
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Copyright_aspects_of...
It makes specific reference to the temporary, transient nature of the download.
Morally, yes I agree with you, obtaining something FOC that is paid for by everyone else is morally wrong.

I'm pretty surprised they'd rule that way, as its a pretty big blow against content creators.European Court of Justice ruled in 2014 that streaming content that is not saved is not illegal. (Link below is from Wiki but is accurate)

Hoping someone can help, recently bought a new LG smart TV, the usb slot is currently occupied by an external hard drive so I don't want to faff about changing between that and a fire stick.
Is there anyway I can get kodi running on this set up? I've tried following the guides for running kodi off the hard drive? I've tried following various guides online but every time the TV doesn't recognise the kodi install file.
Am I missing something obvious?

Fire stick connects via HDMI. Not sure you can put Kodi on all smart TVs, just ones with android OS I think? Is there anyway I can get kodi running on this set up?
