Just cancelled my order through the HTC shop/Expansys as it has indeed slipped to a May delivery date.

Edited because idiot.

I like the look of the CaseMate 'Barely There' clear case as it'll let you see the loveliness of the machined phone casing through it. I have a CaseMate on my One X which has lasted really well.

Oh crap. So it is.

Too late to cancel, will have to return it. Amended my post above to stop others ordering the wrong thing!

Just noticed something - my phone doesn't have the 'extreme power saving' feature mode! Does anyone else have it? This is a simfree model from the Carphonewarehouse
Mine neither.

1.12.61.17

Makes sense, the third set is carrier specific. I'm on EE.

Edit: still going well:

...and this is why I didn't want a carrier version of the build. Who knows when EE will update it?

I'm this close to rooting it and putting ARHD on it...

Agree about the notification LED although it's miles better than the One X's pitiful effort.

My theory on the camera (I'll expand more later tonight) is that it's actually very good but it's just the auto mode that's not very well set up, hence most peoples' gripes. The granular control you have over everything is almost unheard of on a smartphone but most people will never use them or know how to get the best out of the options.

Just in case anyone's still wanting to hear about battery life, here's today's usage. I had the battery saver mode on today and had an awful lot more use from the phone as you can see. Still at 20% with lots of 'awake' time. Very impressed, the One X would've been dead hours ago.

Fair enough, although I'd be interested if you could post up a screenshot of yours for comparison?

Talk to me about Micro SD cards... I have a 32gb SanDisk Micro SDHC that I bought for something else but thinking I probably want more space than that. I'm not going to fork out £100+ for a 128gb one so 64gb it is.

You seem to be able to get one for around the £40 mark. Does that sound right to you lot?
Speed it probably important, no point having a huge card if it takes ages to copy loads of stuff to/from it. The higher the 'class' the better, I imagine you'd want Class10 or better.
Just ordered a 64gb Sandisk class 10 from Amazon for £31.99

Phone at home now, SD card arrives tomorrow and I get to see them when I get back Friday - Very excited!!
I ordered a 64Gb Kingston Class 10 from 7dayshop for £28.

I don't think it would save much if you could get a slower one? My theory is IR might not always be in the phone (I've been meaning to get a C10 card for my Pi) so might as well get a fast one!

Figures. It'll be several months before EE bother with that, if ever. Have I had it long enough to root it now...? hehe

I've heard the Three phones are still Three builds NOT HTC stock. You'll have a Three CID and as such, have to wait for Three to push updates etc.

OK, EE have redeemed themselves:

If this is the kind of speed we can expect for future updates then I'll be leaving the handset on the stock build...

A doff of the cap to EE on this one, very speedy.

Yep, latest build. The third group of digits is the carrier code (61 is EE).

I need to get my One X up for sale, will probably do that tonight.
