Is that not just for new customers though?
New customers are not allowed until July sometime. That link is for current pay monthly customers who are extending/renewing their contract.

Pedant mode, but you can't extend your current contract. You have to take a new iPhone contract out smile
Ahh, I do believe you're right.

This is, strangely, quite interesting seeing the updates! I'm sat in a meeting in Budapest, so no chance of me getting anything until tomorrow - sounds like I won't be getting anything for a few weeks!

Does the phone come with an Internet usage monitor (or is there a downloadable app) so you can ensure you keep within your monthly data allowance?
As standard the phone has a usage monitor - in Settings / Usage, and it tells you how much you've transferred, you can then reset it each month Be sure to known what your billing month is, so you know when your 1GB is from/to.

Can you order it as an upgrade over the phone from O2? After 30mins on hold I had to give up!
Nope...

"Where to buy?

iPhone 4 will only be available to existing O2 customers in O2 shops."

What do you mean by that - I didn't know you had to port your number? From sim to micro-sim do you mean? In which case why did that stop them?

Am I the only one who went to buy one this morning, had a feel of the iPhone 4, and changed my mind?
How come?

Looks like I'll be getting it on 'Three' in January. They have the biggest 3g network in the UK and are far more experienced than the frankly rubbish o2. They're also the cheapest, and it will only be cheaper in 6 months time.
Then you'll only be 6 months away from the updated iPhone 4.

It made me cringe to hear people going on about 'on the web' and 'according to the forums' - then i realised that christ I was a forum geek too and posted on PH.
I learnt long ago to use the words "a friend" rather than "a bloke on a forum" hehe

My iPhone 4 arrives before 12 tomorrow. Sorted!!

Went with O2 - guy said they have lots of stock left, had e-mail confirmation this morning. He said at 8:05 yesterday morning they had 1400 people in the call queue hehe

I started ringing at about 8:55, and by 9:10 my phone's coming tomorrow. Perfect!

Nice little stock level website: http://stock.o2.co.uk/

I'll be phoning in a minute.
I was playing with that this morning - annoyingly, it doesn't give the level for O2 "phone them up". Only online store or retail stores. The "phone them up" they have stock, but they don't allow online ordering so that's not working (will in few weeks I assume). The retail store one was good though - only 3 shops in the whole of the south-east have any! hehe I used it first to double check if any near me had any. No, so rang.

The glass scratches easily, in a a pocket with nothing else in, oh well, I guess you can't get too precious about these things frown
You sure it's an actual scratch? My 3G back is scratched to bugger (lightly), but the screen 100% perfect (never had a case). It could do with a wipe, obviously, but underneath not a single scratch.
