Nokia Lumia Cyan/8.1 update
Discussion
Anyone with a 1020 and wanting a free camera grip you can try the following link: http://nokia.ly/cameragrip
Enter the details and one may be off in the post to you. Granted it says purchases from May onwards eligible, and only lets you select dates from then, but the worst they could do is say no if you do select an incorrect date.

Nope, retained everything like that & all settings just made every single app re-install itself.
Cheers, did it work. Took a while as it had to update to a particular 8.0.something update before 8.1. A lot slicker and the majority of my annoyances with windows phone have been addressed. Lets see what the camera is like tomorrow. giblet said:

Lets see what the camera is like tomorrow. I also took the plunge on my 1520, but had to use the rollback procedure tool (Which turned out to be very quick an easy). I assumed that it would roll me back to 8.0 and then I'd have to get Cyan and 8.1 again - but pleasantly surprised that the tool automatically upgraded me straight to Cyan and 8.1. I just then re-enrolled into the Dev-Prev to get 8.1 Update 1.
I chose to format completely and just restore my text messages. The phone seems to be working better than it did (I had some problems connecting to 802.11b/g networks for some reason) and I can now use Miracast to my TV - huzzah!

Just got my 1020 (on 3) up and running Cyan and 8.1 update 1 via developers preview. Ended up using the Recovery Tool and going back to 8.0 and then doing various updates.
Didn't bother doing a restore. Wish I'd took a screenshot of how I had my screen set up!. Then remembered the very annoying limitation of Windows Phone of not being able to do add ringtones to multiple contacts at once, or putting multiple contacts into groups in one go, or the small limit (20) of contacts per group.

Should have left my phone as it was (Black running 8.1 update 1).
Since getting Cyan on it my car stereo keeps losing bluetooth connection to the phone, although the phone still shows that it is connected. Only way to get it to reconnect is to power the phone off and on (although it seems to do this on its own sometimes anyway). It may stay connected for 1hr+ or it may only be 10mins. Also when the connection is lost the phone is slow to come out of standby (1 or 2 seconds) and sometimes takes a second press of the power button to get it.
I've done another full reset via the Nokia recovery tool, although this time it put me straight onto Cyan 8.1 and the problem persists.
Stereo is a Pioneer AVH-X3600DAB which had been working with the phone for the 2months I've had it installed.
I've tried it with my old sun visor bluetooth (Sony Ericson HCB-105) and it is appearing to stay connected to that.
Don't use the SAAB long enough to see if the Parrot bluetooth is behaving Ok. I'll have to go for a bit of a drive tonight.

Thank god it isn't just me! I have the same stereo and it is driving me bonkers!
I have been mainly running with the 925, not sure if my wife's 930 will do it, and as soon as BT work out how to send me my new Sim card I will hopefully be able to have the 1520 working for longer than 10 minutes! It is a faf to get back and connected too! You can do it without having to turn the phone off, I have installed "Kill My Music", if I turn BT off and then run KMM and then retry the connection it works more often than not. It seems that the music is stopping the BT from reconnecting.

I don't stream music to the stereo, but I'll give that Kill My Music a go.
I've tried turning Bluetooth off when the disconnect happens, but all that happens is that I get the little red dots at the top of the screen continuously, and usually the phone will then reboot itself after a while. Then I have to go in and turn bluetooth on again.
After doing my last post I remembered that I used to have a similar disconnect problem with the Sony Ericson visor that I mentioned. I found a post I made in the big Nokia EOS thread there was for the 1020 and I mentioned in it that when I updated from Amber to Black the problem stopped.

Closest I've had to a bluetooth problem with the 1020 is that it occasionally drops the connection to the bluetooth OBDII dongle I have in the car. Otherwise it has been absolutely perfect - that is running 8.1 DP update 1. And as most of the new Lumia camera features won't be supported on the 1020, I don't see the point in reverting to the "production" OS stream.I've tried turning Bluetooth off when the disconnect happens, but all that happens is that I get the little red dots at the top of the screen continuously, and usually the phone will then reboot itself after a while.
