I'm due not one but two Xperia-Z's this morning with accompanying headphones. . .due to a c**k up by Carphone Warehouse I now have a contract with O2 and Vodafone. . .should only be the latter.
Looking forward to it and after using an iPhone for a number of years it might take a bit of time to adjust to Android. . .not much work will be done today me thinks. . .

Looking forward to seeing how you find the transition from iPhone and what, if anything, you miss.Looking forward to it and after using an iPhone for a number of years it might take a bit of time to adjust to Android. . .not much work will be done today me thinks. . .

Received my Xperia Z this morning. I am very impressed with the build quality and how smooth it is. The size is a bit of an issue though, it seems uncomfortably large. It could be down down to my lady like hands though.
Just picked mine up from CPW along with the free headphones. It is quite a bit larger although slimmer than my current Desire HD but feels very comfortable in my (manly) hand and is noticeably lighter than the HTC without feeling flimsy.Very understated and grown up, I'm impressed.
(I'll upload some comparison photo's later if anyone is interested)
Mine has arrived! Was delivered to me at work about 30 mins ago.
Phone and headphones arrived together in a promo box. Plugged the phone in but haven't switched it on yet. Both the headphones and phone feel very well built. How they actually work is another thing. I will find that out very soon!

I've got mine too - the CPW branch I collected from seemed a bit surprised by the big headphones box, and were their usual helpful selves when I queried having to sign forms which I'd already done online... Still, no need to deal with them again now.
My headphones were separate, not in a promo box.
Too busy at work to play with it yet so I'm just letting it charge. I don't like the mains plug; it might be convenient to make it fold down but it's a bit cheap feeling.

To those who have them already, do they come with a micro-SD card?
You made me check the port No, nothing in there but they have 16GB of storage built in so the SD card is additional rather than a necessity. I was going to go for a 64GB card but TBH I don't think I'll exhaust 32GB when there's already 16GB in the device. How is it? Feels really rather nice. Notably larger in both height and width than an iPhone 4 but also notably thinner. It's a very simple and pleasing aesthetic, and the edges feel very slightly rubberised so it's not nearly as slippery as it could be to hold.
Android seems pretty user-friendly thus far, though I've barely scratched the surface of setting it up. Just accept the defaults, sync with your existing Google account and it's working fine.
No micro SD card i'm afraid. Mine came with screen protectors for front and back (with a tiny cloth and scraper to apply them, pair of earphones, charger/USB cable, and a micro SIM. I just rang Vodafone to get the micro SIM activated but unfortunately they are updating their systems at the moment and can't do it so i have to ring back in a couple of hours! Surely something like that should be done outside of core working hours!!

If I bin the Iphone for this how do I use my itunes (guess is burn to disc and then reload?) - can I buy music on the device like a iphone?
Ta
Might be wrong on this, but think you can drag and drop music from the Music folder on your PC to the phone.Ta
You can also buy music from the Play store.

Hi, just received my Xperia Z from Three by DPD. Preordered by phone on 1st Feb and was told I would receive the headphones. Guess what, no headphones delivered with phone and when I spoke to Three they said none would be coming because they shouldnt have offered the promotion at the time by phone! Very frustrating. I'm chasing them for a better response. My mistake with dealing with Three by phone and not the store. They did make sure to bill me and put me on the next contract over a week ago though.
Just wondering if anyone else here is in the same situation.

First impressions then.
Screen - Love it. Amazing detail, natural colours (not a fan of over saturation), photo's + video look brilliant. Viewing angles aren't great as mentioned in reviews but not really an issue for me.
Sound - I use my phone a lot to listen to music whilst commuting so this is a big thing for me. I've got to say the Walkman app is the best I've used and the amount of personalisation options you have for the audio are brilliant (lots of EQ pre-sets, multiple custom EQ slots, ClearAudio+ etc.). The output is more than loud anough (at least 25% better than my Desire HD) and of very high quality. No need for the FiiO headphone amp iI was considering purchasing. Really pleased with it.
Camera - Not had much of a chance to play with it yet but the interface is very good and the quality of the viewfinder onscreen is far better than my old HTC.
Software - Doesn't seem to be much in the way of Sony bloatware so looks like they may have learnt their lesson.
Performance - Super smooth with no noticeable lag on anything I've asked of it to do so far.
Free Gift Headphones - Lovely build quality, incredibly comfortable (you could wear them for hours and probably forget you have them on) and like the sound they produce very much. Not too bass heavy, nicely balance sound that suits lots of different music styles. The phone itself drives them very well (although I'll be keeping my Shure IEM's for the commute)
Only downsides I have found are it is the ultimate fingerprint magnet (obviously) and I'm not convinced how long the flap covering the headphone socket is going to last with it going in and out of my pocket, thus runing the dust/waterproof ability.
Other than that very, very impressed. It's got a very "grow up" feel to it that I like and don't feel you get from Samsung or HTC. That's just my opinion though.
