This is hardly a new idea
We have a few Motorola Atrix's that do almost this, same idea except they run their own software with Firefox. Works quite well but getting slow & tedious now. The lapdock is just a dumb battery & keyboard, also there is a dock to plumb it into a TV via HDMI that does the same.
Brilliant for travelling & better in function than this idea.
We have had these for 5 years or more

Think we have 4 Lapdocks & 4 or 5 docking stations, the Lapdocks are popular with the Pi brigade as they are USB/HDMI
Yeah, the software side has quite a long way to go. It's useless in it's current test form on my two devices, as all you'll establish is that not one thing can be used.
Best wishes to them, and I hope they see some success in the future, but it's not a device or 'OS' I'll be using in six months time, that much I'm certain of.
I asked some brief questions on their forum, and got the the following response;

Hi zzzz, we are continue to improve Andromium OS as time goes on, we usually do 1 to 2 releases for month for bug fixes and also to introduce new functionalities. As we make changes, and introduce new functionalities, sometime new bugs will crop up, that is why Andromium OS is still in Beta.
Our goal is that by the time Superbook ships to our users, the basic Andromium OS functionality will be stable, and we can focus on adding new apps and functionality to the Andromium Ecosystem
So at launch they expect the basic functionality to be stable, and to then start looking at developing new apps ? If they can't make their existing apps (they've around 5) which are around for nearly two years work on their own OS at this stage then that's enough for me at this point. You're better off running any regular apps on your phone with a keyboard and mouse and casting it to a monitor whilst the phone is charging at this point. At least that'll work (if that's your thing, it's not mine).Our goal is that by the time Superbook ships to our users, the basic Andromium OS functionality will be stable, and we can focus on adding new apps and functionality to the Andromium Ecosystem
