What exactly was the point of that? My post was specifically aimed at the best spec for £500, the spec you have quoted would have been considerably more than £500.

It was more in reply to golfman, but I am quite excited about a new toy so will tell anyone on a flimsy excuse.

I take it that the Vista is 64 bit? Otherwise whats the point in having 4GB memory?
You do realise that 32bit can actually make use of more than 4GB don't you? Just that there's a per process limit of 2GB (or 3GB with the right switches passed).
I thought that a 32-bit OS could only address 3GB RAM, hence the pointlessness of having 4GB RAM...

Mine has 2GB atm, but as soon as I trust the 64-bit Ultimate, I'll upgrade to that and install another 2GB...

I thought there was a slight benefit of having 4gb (opposed to 3) as you'd be able to have a matched 2gb pair, dual channel is it...I cant remember?

Heard its not a massive increase but neither is the cost between having 3gb or 4gb
