3G Signal Booster
Discussion
I've just finished a 2 year stretch on EE/T-Mobile.
I was a victim of "network optimization" however they refused to give me a signal box, even after emailing Olaf Swantee.
As soon as I got my PAC code, I signed up to a 12 month SIM only deal on 3, rang up and ordered a Home Signal from them on the same day as the signal at home "wasn't great" (better than EE however) and had it shipped to me within 2 days.
3 Home Signal works great, occasionally will drop a call if my phone doesn't hand off to the network properly, but no complaints from me.
Ditch EE, go 3.

EE and Three share 3G networks. Search MBNL.I was a victim of "network optimization" however they refused to give me a signal box, even after emailing Olaf Swantee.

I realise that, never had an issue with signal out and about but it was terrbile at home, which is where I work from!Three's willingness to give me a Home Signal sealed the deal for me.
I tried to negotiate a signal box with EE but they didn't want to know, despite an average spend of £75 per month over the last 2 years :-(

I wonder why EE won't sell them?
I would have happily paid for mine.
I offered to pay on several occasions, numerous excuses given from low stock, connectivity issues, being told i was "on the wrong sort of contract" etc.I would have happily paid for mine.
I don't understand their policy.

Just enquired about one of these EE signal boxes.
EE are in negotiation with a new supplier but as of now there are no timescales for this. I have a note on my file to let me know if and when it becomes available again. I won't hold my breath.
Resurrecting an oldish thread, EE / T-Mobile now have the new (Cisco) Signal Boxes available.EE are in negotiation with a new supplier but as of now there are no timescales for this. I have a note on my file to let me know if and when it becomes available again. I won't hold my breath.
If you want one, phone customer services (the "I am having problems with my phone" options) on a Friday morning at 8am, which apparently is when they get that weeks stock put on the system. They will go through a number of checks to confirm that you are have a poor signal (probably helps if you had a good signal and it became poor through their 'network optimisation'), and if like me, they will pop one in the post FOC.

Had I not been offered one, I would have moved to another network - so it makes sense to keep customers happy.
I don't understand their policy.
I was told that they are very reluctant to give them out as every time they give them out they have to register that postcode as a postcode that doesn't have good indoor coverage, or even worse no coverage at all. I don't understand their policy.
This then effects their overall coverage percentage, it could mean the difference between being able to say 99% UK coverage and 98%, give out too many and suddenly they look the poorest network provider for coverage when people look at the comparison tables.

Just as a bit of a holy thread ressurection.
EE now either sell the Cisco signal boxes from stores £89 or if you can convince them your signal is poor, they send you one foc
You no longer need to be a business customer anymore either.
Or just get a phone that supports wifi calling which works very wellEE now either sell the Cisco signal boxes from stores £89 or if you can convince them your signal is poor, they send you one foc
