What kind of discounts are we talking on Apple items?
This was the 2013 savings:iPad Air: Save £31 to £61
iPad mini: Save £15 on nonRetina models, no discount on Retina models
iPad 2: Save £25
iPod touch: Save £25
iPod nano: Save £11
MacBook Air: Save £81
MacBook Pro: Save £81 on both Retina and nonRetina models
iMac: Save £81
Apple TV: Save £15
AirPort Extreme: Save £15
AirPort Time Capsule: Save £25
However most of the world Apple give your iTunes gift cards. In America they have reduced the amount this year so I if Apple Europe go along the same line of offering a discount instead of iTunes card I would also expect a reduction in savings.
Make sure to check your prices before jumping into any 'deals', I've noticed items in the upcoming section having a lower RRP than when they go up in the sale.
There's a Canon 7D body upcoming at 3pm, the RRP is £699. When this was in the sale over the weekend they had the RRP as £999.99 and the sale price was £699!

Dislike. This is an American thing because of thanksgiving. Why is it over here now?
Actually it's to do with the day generally being considered the day that most companies go into profit. But yes it is an Americanism that I welcome over here. It's a great way of companies getting rid of old stock very quickly whilst still making a smaller profit. And for us as the consumer it means we can pickup something we want for a good reduction.
The only thing to dislike about it is that it makes us buy stuff we may not really need.
Mum wants a Kindle.
The last generation 16BG Kindle Fire HDX is £99 on Amazon at the moment. (Have to pay an extra tenner for an advert free one though!)

This seems an ok price?
