Excel help needed......please

I've just started to prepare for a meeting tomorrow and have noticed that the columns and rows on every excel file I open has changed to numerical rather than numerical row and alphabetical column.

how can I change the back?

It has also changed all of the formulae to this new format.

Tools -> Options -> General Tab
uncheck "R1C1 Reference Style"

(this is for Excel 2000 newer versions should be similar!)
