...when you load the software for the first time it searches your computer and converts all your choons into Itunes, how do I convert new downloads, ie where do I go in ITunes to pick up newly downloaded music?

Depends on what you use to download music.

If it is from the iTunes store then there will be a playlist in the list on the left called "purchased music".

If you "audition" music from file sharing services and have it in a folder you go to "File" and add new music or similar (I'm on a Mac).

If you are ripping from a CD the tracks will be in your iTunes library.

On my mac, itunes syncs with Aquisition so newly downloaded mp3s automatically appear.

For copying cds to your HDD, always use iTunes.

Not sure about windows... but set the default player as iTunes for ALL mp3s, then simply open the mp3s in whatever folder they are in... they'll load in iTunes and the computer will do the rest.

Let's just say a friend uses Kazaa and it goes to my shared folder, they go to My Shared Folder and can't open it any further.

Just go file [top left], and then add folder, if u use limewire, kazaa or winmx you will have a 'my kazaa' folder or will have been asked for a file in which to place your download. Theres no need to add them individually; each click on the add folder button will just add the newest tracks when you want to update your music library.

Also, am i right in remembering you're a futureheads fan corin? I saw them last night in manchester and they were stunning...!

Open Itunes, run it so it's not maximized (ie not hogging the whole screen). Double click My Computer, and browse to the folder where your music is, then drag and drop the folder on top of your Itunes library. Voila!

Good choice of music!

Add to that list Interpol's album 'Antics' and you have my current favourites

Sorry to go a bit off topic, but!

Corin you will love it then!!! Get there nice and early, the kaisers were on only about 15 mins after doors opened, and were pretty bloody good. Bloc Party were superb, with everyone knowing all the words [the joys of t'internet!]. Futureheads tore the place up though, very fast and loud, brilliant set, with 'piece of crap' to finish - nice. they also got the two sides of manchester academy doing the 2 backing vocals on hounds of love. Killers were im afraid a disappointment. Brandon Flower's singing doesnt match his image or taste in suits....were still good though. Best gig since babyshambles way back!!! Ive got razorlight next week as well as the bravery in feb. cannae wait!

You will not be let down!!! I saw them in B'ham on Monday, the show broadcast on BBC Radio one. Go to the Radio one listen again player and skip steve Lamaque's show to roughly 1hr14 mins and That is the start of the Bloc Party set.

I assume you have somehow aquired thier unreleased album (friend in the music industry... but of course ) I have given it a fair old thrashing!

Bloc Party totally stole the show for me sod the Killers! Distinctly average in comparison!!!

Kaiser chiefs also very good, most Hyperactive band I've ever seen!

I would agree. I was going to slate the killers but for fear of disapointing corin! Theyre all posture, outfits and appearance, rather than good tunes. Bloc Party were brilliant but the futureheads were even better in my opinion....Ive had silent alarm for a while now; its pretty openly available on limwire but i'll buy the real thing on feb 14th to support them, as well as seing them in april...

Yeah. I wasn't a fan of the futureheads. clearly very talented, very good with thier instruments just not my cup of tea... I was still jumping around like a nutter to them!
