Music downloads.
Discussion
I always used to use Kazaa to download music but became annoyed at the quality of the product and nasties left on my PC. I havn't used it for ages but recently have wanted to, when I try to open Kazaa it will not open. I get a message that it will not open because of software aplications on my PC. I can only presume that these applications are SpyBot, Ad Aware and a pop up blocker. The reasons these were installed were because of nasties left on my PC from Kazaa downloads.
What I am after is a cheap/free download application that I can use occasionally, ie. Napster is no good as I don't want to pay a monthly fee as I won't use it often. Also if I have to pay for the downloads individualy can the quality be guaranteed??
Any help will be appreciated.
Cheers.

Can't fault the above site....cheap as chips..perfect quality !!
I used to use Kazaa Lite but it started to go weird as I wouldn't upgrade so I deleted it. I now see Kazaa Lite has a new program with a pre-pay membership although I haven't tried it.
Thes days, you need a good Spyware eliminator program like Spyware Doctor. My computer has a firewal, a virus detector, a pop-up blocker and now the spyware remover. You really do need them all.
I should add that I buy current music. i used to download really old stuff you can't buy or wouldn't be seen dead buying! LOL.

Makes everything else including iTunes look mickey mouse.
I must be unlucky or Soulseek doesn't like our firewall (mind you, having said that, I've tried it at home too)?
Hardly ever find anything I'm looking for and never succesfully downloaded a single track....
Perhaps I'm missing the point?
There is a way you can test your firewall settings from inside soulseek, I'll dig it out tonight and mail you with it.
Alternatively I'll bung a full directory listing of my collection either on mail or the other place and you can have a scan to see if there is anything that takes your fancy.

Always nice when something can brighten a Monday morning.
