Web browser question - please help.....

Hi all,
I wonder if any of the many IT professionals here could help me?
For some reason, my browser(s) don't display some adverts on some webpages. This in itself isn't a big problem, but my other half is trying to do some research for to get a job, which requires her to find out about advertisers on a website that she is applying for, ie handbag.com
When the webpage loads up, there is a panel on the far right of the screen, which says promotions, under which SHOULD be a list of advertisers, but on my browser, nothing appears!
I've tried both my desktop and laptop, tried mozilla, internet explorer, opera and changing the java settings, but it doesn't work!!
please help.....

I'm not an IT expert, and I'm not 100% sure I know what you're talking about, but do you have a pop-up blocker on your computer, e.g. Google?
It will say something like "4 blocked" on your toolbar at the top of the screen, if you click on that button, it will temporarily allow pop-ups. You could try that.

Tried that already, disabled pop blocker, both on browser and antivirus software.....
What browser are you using? If it is IE have you checked your security settings (activeX may be disabled etc.) you could always download another browser such as firefox (www.mozilla.org/)
Just looked at handbag. The ads come from doubleclick.net. Can you get on this url for starters?

On Mozilla, tools > options >web features. Is load images> "for the originating web site only" box ticked?

Thanks guys, I managed to get it working by a combination of a few things! But cor blimey I must seem dim (although nothing new there)
