Broadband providers

Anyone have any recommendations as to who's any good?

I play on X-Box Live about 5 hours or so a night, download approximately 10gb a month of general....stuff so I want to know who I can switch to as I'm with Wannadoo at the mo, who are charging me £27.99 a month for a 30gb limit on a 1.1mb line.

Checked on uswitch.com & Tiscali are one of the few big names they recommend....but I'd rather have personal recommendations from you guys!

christ, I gather you are single at the moment. I get to play with myself for about 30-45mins a night max, BF2 or 360. then the wife or kids want to play on the pc, shop QVF**KING C etc...

I am on telewest on unlimited upload 4MG for about £21 I think, or there abouts

I am on NTL, 2mb connection with 1gb a day download limit. £24.99 p/m

NTL say I will be upgraded to an 8mb connection soon, at no extra charge

seems my 4mg broadband is good value then. i never have checked the other prices in about 3 years

I'm with www.f2s.com on their 'up to '2mb unlimited package for £24.99 a month - soon to be 'up to' 8mb. If you're close enough to the exchange (I'm 50 yards away) then you get the full speed, otherwise you get the maximum that your line can handle.

I've gotta say that PlusNet seem to rule:

14.99 for 2Mb with 30Gb cap.

Or

21.99 for 2Mb at 30:1 contention and no cap

Plus if you start recommending people you get 50p off your bill (I'm nbolton by the way )

I've not had ANY problems with PlusNet, and I've recommended everybody onto them, and that includes my compnaies reps (all 13 of them)...
