I have recently moved into a new flat. We are not connected to the Interweb and we don't have a phone line (though there used to be a BT line there I think).

What do people recommend on broadband suppliers?

TalkTalk seem to be the best/cheapest, but with a 40Gb limit (what does this actually mean - I use broadband for surfing, work stuff (websites, Blomberg), games occassionally (Battlefield 2). I don't really download films/music - so will this limit be ok (even if I play games 24/7 - which I don't)?

Are Bulldog still offering retail services?

Any other thoughts? Is 8Mb a must have?

Thank you kindly,
Mav.

I use Wanadoo (Orange now) and it's been trouble free!

I do quite a lot of surfing but no downloads as such, and hit about 2Gb a month.

It's only as fast as the bit of damp string wihch connects your house to the loop. My ISP recently went to 8Mb but there's been no change here. 512Kb - 1Mb is fine for most surfing IMHO.
