BT hub phone - odd behaviour

Been using it for a while no problems, until the other week.
Phone has a message on it saying that there is new update available. So I install it, and then this happens.
If I start by putting the phone on speaker, then press 5, to use BT line, the phone switches off and restarts itself.
BT reckon its my phone, but it worked perfectly before updating it.
I know the obvious answer is don't do what I'm doing, but I'm interested if anyone else gets the same result.
Everything else works perfectly.
It's the phone with the colour screen, and software version 1302.

Ive no helpfull comments to make at all sadly, only to say that my hub phone does the same thing! Its a PITA

doesnt help much but friday i tried to install two 1010 hub phones (colour screens) for customers & neither would work atfer about 10mins. maybe its a dodgy update?

My home hub has been going through the software update routine daily for the past few days, which makes me suspect something's gone wrong with the update mechanism.
