email woes...

When i click on an email link on a webpage i get a message saying 'could not perform this operation because the default mail client is not properly installed'.
What does it mean and how can i correct it? Its Vista btw.

In control panel -> default programs

check which program is set as your email client (basically what opens mailto: links and .msg files)
