Yep. HTC are the hardware manufacturer for pretty much all of the decent Windows Mobile devices out there at the minute, but come with the huge added advantage of not having Orange or Vodafone ROM images stuffed to the gills with useless software that eats memory.

Good kit.

That wasn't your question.

Had the last 6 or 7 XDA branded ones as company phones.

On the Orbit 2 at the moment, which I find very pleasant.

I use the Dual Touch. Very good. The only small issue is the Orange software on it sometimes causes it to crash/freeze. But this happens very occassionally. The fault is definately with the Orange and what they do to it.

They're generally good looking phones, but with one mahoooosive problem.

They run on Windows Mobile.

Which is a total abortion of a design.

After a few months with a Touch Dual, I just gave up and went back to using the old K800.

I've got an XDA Orbit which is essentially a HTC branded by O2, have had for 18 months.

Been really good, has crashed very few times and all still works 100%. Has been dropped several times and has quite a lot of physical damage, but no problems with the actual phone. I am looking at getting a later version but as I don't really use the business functions an iPhone is looking appealing.

Had an HTC touch dual for the last few months, just upgraded to the htc touch diamond which is so far very good although i have only had it a week. Much better screen the the dual but no keypad, it is all on the screen, very similar to the iphone, I was dubious about this but now think it is great and works really well for e-mails etc although the way it displays them (in a little envelope) is a bit gimmicky. I think it is a pretty slick interface. Also pretty tiny phone but does pick up fingermarks easily as it is shiny! I think windows mobile is great personally - prefer it to symbian.

It's not my favourite phone OS.
HTC - I've got 5 or 6 of the big TyTN sliders. They're well built, the radio seems good. They're just a bit brick-ish and uninspiring. As a business PDA/Phone/Email device they're excellent.

Got several TyTnIIs. Great phones, tough, robust and so practical for emails. They do what thy say without the preening pretensions of other more style over substance brands..

We use TyTns and S620s - both very good (make sure they're on windows mobile 6 rather than 5), but the TyTns are a bit too chunky for my liking. Both sync with Exchange 2003 without any problem at all. The S620 is more of a blackberry-type design and works better for making phone calls, the touch screen on the TyTn makes dialling a pain in the arse in bright sunlight.

I have had a few and have the TyTn II (badged T-Mobile MDA Vario III) at the moment.

I also use a Sony Ericsson though!

The HTCs are great for business use. The fact that they run Windows Mobile means that they chat happily to my PC [and specifically Outlook] and have a good stab at running various MS Office apps too. The wifi, built-in GPS etc all really handy business features too.

But unless you want these business features I would recommend Sony Ericssons above any other phone.

i've got a TyTn II which i rather like, it can get its knickers in a twist if the memory is close to be being full but generally its been one of the more reliable phones that i've had.

I have a TYNY (or whatever it is) as i decided to try a windows mobile phone instead of a blackberry ...

If you are used to & like a Blackberry, you wont like HTC / windows smartphones .... otherwise, loads of cool gadgets!!
