Hit control alt delete and go to Processes. If explorer.exe is there, click it, end the process, click ok. Should ususally restart itself.

If it isnt there - go to file then new task, then type in explorer.exe

And that should *hopefully* bring it back up.

Try - ctrl+alt+delete , goto processes and kill/stop explorer.exe ... It should then come back to life in a few secs. If not - reboot ...

Have you accidentally hit the 'hide the toolbar' control?

Try the left click / or right click. Can never remember which. And if you have, you should get the 'show toolbar'.

Then again, I'm crap with computers.
