Afraid for you old duffers this isnt the substandard film from the 80s, I'm needing to download a current version of Firefox web browser only the website is down.

Yes I know there is a section for this but I haven't had my nerd shots lately and there is a better chance of an answer in here.

WTF?

You've got an IQ above room temperature Stigmund - try http://www.firefox.com and it'll redirect you to the correct download page for your operating system.

o'rly?

All today the site was reporting "out of service due to updates" then it would appear so then you click on download and then it would time out saying site unavailable I'm not using grammar as my IQ is just at room temperature

As it happens I managed to find a copy on CD without having to go to the Nerd department but thanks for the links (that didnt work!) wink

yes thanks for that, Google Chrome is beta, I had a specific issue I needed Firefox for. ITs like me asking where is the nearest petrol station and someone giving directions to a sweet shop. BTW Google Chrome you do know the big security issues yes? Good, carry on

Thanks for that.

I've used Camino since it was called Chimera, and now use Safari on my Macs since it's caught up and passed the Gecko engine IMO. You'll know that Google Chrome is based on WebKit which is Apple's core of the Safari browser, of course. Why would I need Chrome (when it's based on a version of WebKit that has a security flaw that's patched in Safari) - and what the hell has it got to do with Stigmund needing a copy of Firefox?
