For those of you having trouble getting Street View open in Google Maps on 2.2.
1) Drop a pin somewhere, or search for a location.
2) Tap the pin to bring up the info, etc.
3) Tap this:

4) Enjoy Street View!!

Do you have to install Google Earth or does it work through the regular Maps program?

I don't think London is mapped. If you go to New York in Google Maps (on your PC, dunno about your phone) there's a street view button. If you click it, it highlights streets that have been mapped. You can then zoom in and look at them.otolith said:

I have tried google maps and google earth in the countries USA Australia France etc that have street view but can't get street view on the ipod.1) Drop a pin somewhere, or search for a location.

Is it the red pin that you tap or do you have to drop a purple pin for it to work?

.Bit wary now wether to update my iPhone 3G or not.
Have read on a couple of blogs of it happening to others.
