Can you safely use an Iphone on Orange?

Friend and I want to swop phones, he has Iphone with O2, I have mobile with Orange

Orange will give me 800mins, unlimited texts and unlimted web data for £10 a month!

If I get iphone unlocked, will it work the same on orange, or will some applications fail?

Is that a 10 year contract???? sound like you get an awful lot for not much money.

What type of iPhone is it? Only the 2G ones can be unlocked for other networks.

Tis indeed, thought I was getting a good deal with the same for £20 for 18 months with a Diamond and free home broadband.

I'm running an iPhone 3g on 'three'. I ran my previous 2g iPhone on orange. No problem.

-went into a local mobile phone repairs shop to ask if they can unlock 3g iphone - they said you cannot do it yet, not found a way round the system??

It charges you as tho the call were routed via France...
