But when they stated they would keep all info of yours in perpetuity, including emails etc, they quickly lost favour with me.
The concern for me would be how long has this been known? I don't really want to get into browser wars, but at least with Firefox the code is open so vulnerabilities can't be knowingly supressed. I'm sure they're there, but at least the ability for scrutiny isn't restricted, so in theory the holes are plugged much more rapidly.
Been meaning to install Firefox for a while and this thread prompted me to do it today.
Used it on other PC's and laptops and was impressed so I've taken the plunge.
VERY easy installation but what impresses me most is the sheer flexibility of the browser and how you can personalise it to suit your own preferences and needs. Not forgetting of course it's speed - anyone know how that compares to IE?
Can't see me using IE much again unless ther's a page loading problem with Firefox so thanks OP for the thread

The exploit code is easily obtainable for this one:
You can try that proof of concept code out for yourself by saving the html code as a .html file and opening it in IE 7, calc.exe will open up. Wouldn’t take much at all for someone to change the shellcode to make it do anything they want.
The good thing is that from what I’ve seen, a user would have to be visiting as site they already trust that got taken over, or the user would have to manually tell IE to run scripts/active X controls on that website.
Could be interesting to see how this develops. Possibly one not to ignore!!
