Got a bit of a problem with MSN, basically the ladyfriends msn status keeps showing as offline even though shes still connected, she loggs back in then within minuites its shows offline again.

Before anyone wise arse comments, ive been round there when this has happened so i dont think shes avoiding me!

Has anyone got any ideas?

Check her status? You can "show as offline" even though you are connected.

You could try going into Control Panel.......Add/Remove Programs, find MSN then click on change/remove option. A window will pop up and give you a repair MSN option. It worked for me and the GF.

IIRC their is a sleep function which if messenger isn't used it makes the person appear offline or away? I might be talking carp but I'm sure somebody told me about it...

Apologies if I brought your thread back on topic biggrin

No appology needed! the problem still appears if shes using msn constantly, ie half way through a reply! its gonna start costing me a fortune in txts/phone bills if i dont get it sorted!
