More than likely, you will have an older version of the software and they don't really care about previous versions.

Works for me, though most of the files seem to be infected with trojans these days.

Don't go there. Just spent most of the weekend cleaning crap off my kids' PC most of which was courtesy of Limewire.

The majority of Newsgroups are Invitation only.

I used Newzbin for mine

www.newzbin.com

The you will need a Usenet server.

www.newshosting.com

Then this

www.newsleecher.com

Then you have to set it up to work with each other...

Good luck

torrents work ok, newsgroups sometimes have the nice effect of missing parts which take a while to get, depends who supplies the news services, some are good and some are not

limewire and the like is what kids like and suspect most of the files are keyloggers, trojans and viri infected pap

try that on any decent torrent site and the torrent gets flagged as such

without tyring to get this thread locked,

http://torrentfreak.com/get-into-200-private-bitto... is a good pointer and a rather useful site to look at in general

already in a private site, but use public ones now and then smile

Personally I have had very few, less than 1% of problems with the missing parts, as you can rebuild them using pars.

Torrent sites are a waste of time as you need to upload as well.

Never had a problem with limewire in my 8 years of using it to download odd tracks here and there.

For sharing music Soulseek has no peer that I have found. Absolutely fantastic (so I have heard, allegedly)

LOL, absolute rubbish.

Usenet has been around for years, before all the p2p crap.
