I'd get banned for advertising so I won't bother.

Nice site though, had a look through it a couple weeks ago smile

Not sure where you're going with this one - i.e. personal sites or otherwise,(mods feel free to delete link if it breaks any rules) but here is ours.... still not sure if going for a 'flash' site was better the other options but happy to receive comments and feedback on what the collective think.

YSlow rates it as an A, which is good, but if I hadn't have waited to see why it took so long, I have to say wouldn't have bothered either.

Okay, since it's started, I'll do a couple of my sites.

http://www.tribbeck.com/ - my main one, which I've had since 1997ish
http://www.aeonownersclub.com/ - my kit car owners' club (just over 2 years old)
http://www.funkenblitz.com/ - a site I did for a mate of mine

I make performant websites (i.e. not much cluttering content smile ).

BIANCO, Firstly, thanks for the constructive critisim, much appreciated. It's our second effort, the first was an HTML disaster! The second some very welcome assistance of a good friend.

I would start of buy getting rid of the sound affects that’s what’s probably taking so long to download.
The sound effects are supposed to default to off, but it seems, we've been having some issues there.

BIANCO said:
Also its probably set up to download the entire thing before it start which is not always needed. You could set it up to start playing once the first menu screen as loaded. Then by the time the viewer as decided to look at an option the rest would have loaded.
Makes sense, I'll have a word with the friend who coded it to see if we can do that.

BIANCO said:
I would also have a none flash option as well, some people just don’t like or cant view flash.
It's in the offing, we had to start somewhere and this was it.

Still a good looking site though.
Thanks, never having done this sort of thing - and trying to do it on a very tight budget - made for some difficult choices.
