Before you report this thread as a scam, hear me out.

Someone sent me a link to an iPad for £49 on the tesco direct website. I checked it all out, legitimate site. So i didnt hesitate and bought it on my credit card. I made sure it was a secure site, and i used my Nationwide card verification thing that normally comes up with online transactions. Since then the website has crashed, and now the product has been removed.

I know when something sounds too good to be true it usually is, but i know these mistakes do happen with online shopping (ive seen a thread on a different forum where people successfully bought a stereo worth £80 for £15).

Unfortunately the item is a pre order, so im not sure where they stand legally with processing my sale.
Can anyone shed some light?

They won't honour it, as somewhere on the site it will say E&OE for "errors and ommisions excepted".
Ah well, was worth a punt!
