Well it's come again (said the actress to the bishop) - I've had the current PC for 5 and a bit years so it's time for a new one.

Has anyone any advice as to what to look for, where to buy, what not to go for and what to go for.

I'm going to be using it as a Home PC, for general house admin, it's going to need some sort of thingy to see pictures with/edit, a printer, but most of all it's got to rock with games and also be internet accessible for broadband. I want to try and future proof it for at least 3 to 4 years (is that possible nowadays?) and I want a new screen that doesn't take up as much room as the current 17inch monitor I've got.

I'm a great fan of playing online but I've given up for the moment as the modem just doesn't cut it when online against other bastards on broadband connections.

Can anyone help? Please?

Ahh, this topic has been done to death! (Trouble with only looking at General Gassing I'm afraid.) Sorry about that.

Thanks Pdv6 and .Mark - I'm going to have a look at Novatech.com and have a think about your comments Pdv6.
