Embedded videos - copyright issues?
Discussion
Hi,
I don't know if this is the best section to ask, but...
Does anyone know if you need to seek copyright permission from the original owner to embed a publicly available video (from YouTube or the like) into your web page?
The fact these video hosting sites all have a big 'embed' button, as well as the fact the video actually remains hosted on the original site and played remotely on yours, suggests that it should be okay, but I wondered if anyone knew the definitive answer.
Cheers,
Chris
