So 3 months ago I changed my ISP, originally had a BT line, BT phone & Virgin ADSL Broadband.

Decided to goto Orange, as I had just got a mobile with them and was offered a good deal for home phone & broadband package, my 1st mistake!, now I am suffering terrible connection issues (lag, ping etc).

So looking to the PH massive for some recommendations, will get the phone line sorted myself, but who to use for a good ADSL service, I know I'm only going to get about 2mb due to being in a village out and beyond. But want a consistant service.

Very rarely stream video or download music, films. Occasionally use Iplayer/4OD or similar, maybe once or twice a month. BUT do alot of online gaming and this is where Orange are failing badly, I need an ISP who is going to maintain a quality connection even between 1900-2200hrs in the evening (when most of the PH gamers are on).

Thanks for your help smile

Well after another month of Orange saying 'we will get it sorted', 'give us a chance to get it sorted' etc spoke to one of there tech people yesterday who said all the problems were sorted Tuesday and the job has been signed off. Rang them back today after all the same problems arose last night to be told that they were still looking into and needed another 24hrs.

When I challenged them (politely) why I had been lied to 24hrs earlier they said they would put me through to a team leader, who said there was nothing more they could do, I would need to ring back in 24hrs and hung up on me!

A little riled I rang back and got a lovely lady from up north (only the 2nd person in 3 months that I've spoken to that was uk based!) Account will be closed, no more chances and this months bills credited.

Now back to an alternative, tried Be.There but they don't cover my area, so going to go back through everyone elses recomendations too. Strangely someone at work suggested Royal Mail, UK based customer service & Tech support and very reliable (alledgedly), in the meantime thanks for the suggestions so far and if anyone has any more please let me know.
