FWIW I have a 2017 GTS with 15700 miles in Solarbeam with Pano roof. Full MB service history and the Service B just carried out. Extended MB warranty. Been offered £67130 from WBAC and £67k as a trade in. So retail I guess will be around the £71k?

The Solarbeam is a marmite colour but they are few and far between.
Saw your ad earlier and loved it, sadly the wife not so keen on colour ... I’m sure it’ll find a new owner soon ;-)

yeah, sadly prices are still very high also for a AMG GTR, they are even higher now then 6-12 months ago...

I was hoping for another 20-30k pricedrop, but no...they went up a bit grrrr... they must be good I guess.

so, I guess I have to change my planes for this year at least (ofcourse first selling my Z3 s65) and maybe go for a AM Vantage V12 manual, those are still stabel for now (same prices as 6-12 months ago) and I guess they will creep up in a year or 2, because rare and special, big V12 with manual in small coupe.

otherwise a Wiesmann MF4 GT or the better drivers car Wiesmann MF3 would also be fine, but those prices are still mad... silly prices still.

back in 2013-2014 you could make very good car deals, then after that a lot went up again.

also the AMG GTS edition 1 (the real ones with also edition 1 in the steering wheel graved) also went up a bit...
Yes I can see prices are still close to what they were 12 months ago and that is part of the appeal.. hopefully they will still at this level. The Edition 1 looks great... would be very happy if I could find a low mileage one.

Hi Guys, probably the wrong place to post but i'm after a 2018 GTR so if anyone is selling or knows someone who is selling a high spec car I'd be interested.

If anyone can recommend another forum to post in as well that would be great. cheers

There's a couple. Amg gt owners & amg owners group.
Both predominantly US biased but still a lot of UK owners and a lot of good people on both.

indeed a lot are mostly US based, but not all, I'm member of a few of those AMG GT(S/R), well not really aktiv, its my FB car profile which I use rarely since the world gone upsidedown, but you can find or get info there if you want.
I don't own a AMG GT(R) yet, wanted one this year when prices would go down another 20-30k euro, but instead prices went up this year for the AMG GTS edition 1 (the real ones with edition 1 in steering wheel) and also for the R version, the one I really want.
I did not expect that prices would go up in 2021 way to early, but I guess they are that good... I thought the next 2-3 years the R would still go down in price, so i guess when I sold my Z3 s65, I first buy something else to wait for the R versions go a bit 'cheaper... The R would be a car to keep I hope/think.

but, many others also fun for the time waiting, could be a old TVR Vixen/Tuscan V8, or a Wiesmann MF3 or MF4 GT, but also those went up again grrr and they were already pricy.
but...it could also be a SLK R171 kleemann or a R171 FL with tuning or Brabus SLK or maybe a R172 with tuning, the nice thing of those, also pretty rare, also not that heavy and short, I like short V8 cars.

Here's mine, I can't fault it other than it can be tricky to park due to the rear visibility.

hi all, was looking at a GT C and was wondering what the boot space was for a long Europe touring holiday and tank range, driving a 911 4s at the moment any feed back is appreciated.

Are you looking at the coupe of convertible?

If the former then easily enough space for a full size suitcase plus extras. The parcel shelf area behind the seats creates a lot of extra storage.

If convertible then it’s still a decent sized and very useable boot. Squashy bags are best but it will take a case. Better than a 911 or R8 by a fair way.

Fuel wise the GTC will get about 23 on a steady cruise and a lot less depending how you press on. I see anything from 200 to 320 to a tank.

cheers for the info, the tank rang could be a small issue, I do travel regularly 600 miles plus a day. (911 - 38mpg - 450ml plus a tank, ) some more investigation / test drive will be needed.

Yeah, but a 911 is missing some cylinders.
It’s a fair exchange I think smile

I’m becoming increasingly drawn to one of these instead of a 911 Turbo.
I’d be looking for a Cab, are there any must have or very desirable options to look out for? Is it worth buying from Merc to get the 2 year AMG warranty or are they pretty bullet proof?

I think they are very nice, but id struggle to pay 50-100% more than a v8 Ftype

In what way, they are each others closest competitor, if you ignore the best car by far in the sector (911).

It’s literally a modern TVR. Do it! Convertible is odd because they only do the base GT, the range misses the S out, then it steps up to the GTC. I’d go C - those wider arches lick

Funnily enough it’s exactly what’s drawn me to one. A modern day TVR what’s not to like!
It’s the C I’m after, just trying to fathom out the options that were available and what seems desirable to have fitted, colours and fancy paints are obviously personal choice.
