Hi Lads
I have just bought a 560 SEC from 1989
had been laid up in spain for a while - but original rhd car with low miles
Got the SECshop to go through it and fitted some brand new pirellis and some AMG wheels - 3k later it is now running and driving like a new car
What a machine - - full sports exhaust system next week to give it a suitable growl😈😈😈😈

Does anyone else use a classic Mercedes for track days?
This is my 1982 W123 280e, at Blyton Park on Friday.
I ripped the uprated engine mounts apart later that morning.
I'm thinking of solid mounting the engine, before I continue with turbocharging it.
Here's a video from the same day, it's not the fastest car, but I bet it's the most fun...

That's brilliant! It sounds great. What engine mods do you have? This is my 1982 W123 280e, at Blyton Park on Friday.

It's the standard engine, with E46 BMW M3 throttle bodies, coilpack ignition, all run by a Canems ecu, it's also got a twin 50mm straight through stainless exhaust with a single back box to keep the noise under track day limits.
The suspension is custom made coils all round, with SPAX adjustable shocks.
It's been fully stripped out, it's lost nearly half a ton!!!
Next on the to do list, is fitting a 2wd Sierra Cosworth 7.5 inch diff, turbocharging it using a MK3 Toyota Supra ct26 turbo, and getting an AMG spec camshaft regrind.
At the minute it's 200bhp at the wheels, which is about 50-60bhp over standard, with the planned mods, it should hit closer to 260-270bhp at the wheels.

That really is a beauty CDG, you cant sell it, surely there must be a way of keeping hold of it, will be find to find another if you change your mind once its gone. Also, where is a good place to get service manuals / simple to follow instructions for taking the interior apart on a C124 ? I need to completely strip mine back to the carpets to give it a good clean, plus need to replace a few bits of broken trim.
