1956 Merc 220S Ponton, where can i buy spares?

I hope that the PH collective can help me out here? I am restoring a 220S Ponton and need lots of spare parts, i have done the usual ebay and Google searches but wondered if anybody knew a decent firm that may be able to help out with my shopping list? Any replies would be great, thanks in advance.

There is a guy on an MB forum scrapping a Ponton, depending on the parts you need he may have some.

Hi , I got the message from Chattonmill .

Sadly , it is not a Ponton I'm breaking - the car I was breaking was a W111 'Fintail' 220S . Some mechanical parts are compatible , but body panels etc are not .

If you drop me a PM , I'll reply over the weekend with a list of parts specialists who can supply just about anything you want for the car .

I have a '57 219 myself ( owned for 28 years ) and know quite a few other Ponton owners .

Oh , I should have said - send me your wants list and I'll see if I can help with any of it - although most of what I have is stuff I'm keeping for my own car - but I did break a W180 220S a few years back and may be able to help with the odd item .

Hi Pontoneer, i will drop you an email if i may, at the moment i need engine mounts and the airboxes for the heating system and possibly twin solex carbs, but i imagine i will need lots more bits yet! jason
