My C43 has quite a lot of dead travel when you first press the brake pedal - there's plenty of stopping power as long as you press far enough and the brakes are otherwise quite progressive compared to more modern cars which I find to be very over-servoed.

Is this normal? The brake pedal is currently quite a marked constrast to the very reponsive throttle!

Thanks

Doesn't sound quite right to me - usually the throttle feels longer travel/less responsive if anything. I'd have that looked at. Something up with master or slave cylinder maybe?

That's what I was thinking, thanks, and that was certainly the experience in my 190E (responsive brake, verrryyy long throttle).

.....yes - that's what both my C43's were like. And my current 211 E500 for that matter...
