2001 S Class Rust prevention
Discussion
I have recently bought an immaculate one owner 2001 Mercedes Benz S Class. It has less than 20,000 miles on the clock with full Benz history.
The car is like new with no rust.
However, I have heard awful stories of large numbers of these cars getting rusty.
Any suggestions on how I could keep the rust at bay?
Many thanks!

Keep it in a garage, with a thermostatically controlled heating system, with a dehumidifier switched on at all times, and don't drive it if its not dry and sunny outside The car is like new with no rust.

Seriously, get the underneath waxoyled or dinitroled (not too difficult to do yourself), keep it in a garage if possible, in winter make sure you hose the underside and under the arches thoroughly on a regular basis, keep the paintwork clean and protected with a good quality wax at all times, not much else you can do.
