I have taken the C55 on track a couple of times so far and both times have been limited by the brakes overheating and me having to slow down to cool them. Last time at silverstone I actually thought I had blown the engine there was so much smoke coming from them! Its sucha heavy car that i think this is inevitable on the OEM pads.

So I'm looking for a decent set of pads which will work well for normal use and hopefully not let me down on the track. EBC red/Yellow/green are the only non OEM pads I have experienced when I had the greenstuff on my Cooper S. EBC seems to only list yellowstuff on their website for my car but other sites have the redstuff listed.

Anybody have any experience of the above on a C55. or indeed any alternatives? the reviews I'm finding online are very mixed and invariably end up in a massive internet argument over who is right.

I see what you are saying but no issues that I know of. And I like to think I would know. I replaced the pads and discs all round with OEM when I bought it. No sticking calipers here. It's absolutely fine on the road. But I did push it very very hard on track. Also it's an estate so maybe the extra weight just tips it over the edge?

Perhaps it's just the way I drive. I had a cooper S before and had the same issue on track days. Uprated pads and discs sorted that for me.
