Afternoon Chaps

A new company car needs to be ordered, and I was sold on the BMW as at 109 CO2’s, it’s such a good deal on company car tax.

But they’re so common.

However they’ve now added the C220 D Blue Efficiency (or words to that effect), it isn’t as good on the CO2 (at 128), but it’s not too bad.

Does any one have any thoughts or experience of this model?
All constructive comments much appreciated.

Cheers

Thanks for the comments.

To be honest long term reliability and running costs / repairs aren’t big issues, as it’ll be a company car, as long as either option doesn’t leave me stranded.

The 3 Series is a very nice car to drive, but as you say they’re everywhere. (Next door to us has 2!), so we’re off for a look at a C Class at the weekend.

One other observation is the V Max (although irrelevant) on these 2 Eco’ish Fleet cars is 144mph and 142mph respectively. Fook me that’s quick.

Our fleet chap is telling me that there is a 'Stop / Start' version comming out soon. Bringing the CO2 down to 117?

Anyone on the inside wish to confirm??

Cheers

After having a good look at both (although MB couldn’t sort out a test car till the end of August) I’ve decided to go for the BMW.

Coming from another BMW I quite fancied the MB due to it being marginally larger and less common, but at the end of the day they are very similar company hacks / family transport for me.

Therefore I’d rather pocket the £850 per year in saved tax between the BMW and MB (car and fuel card) and add it to the toy fund.

If MB had the Stop / Start system ready now, I suspect I'd have gone for that.
