Hi All,
Got a slight problem with the W208... she's dead, battery flat as a pancake. Now this poses a problem as I have only half a manual key (think the previous owner snapped the other half off in the boot lock). How can I get into her? Is there a way? once I'm into the cab, I have the tool to manually release the hood-flap and hence get to the boot tucked into the pocket behind the drivers seat, but I need to get into the cab in the first place. Is there a way? I don't really want to have to call mercedes and get ripped off and the local MB indi isn't answering his mobile.

bit drastic, but you could, if all else fails break the rear quarter window.
Can you no get any turn on the boot lock with the remainder of the manual key?
Indeed, I was looking at my insurance excess and thinking about that! Can you no get any turn on the boot lock with the remainder of the manual key?
The MB indi has come back to me and suggested I get down to MB with V5 and Drivers License and they can do a new key blade, for 20 to 30 quid (as opposed to about £250 for a whole new electronic key unit) and then I can get to a "booster point" under the bonnet once I've got that.
Takes about 3 working days for a new key blade apparently, so I'll give that a go!
