I am looking at SLK 320 models (2001 and 2002) and wondered what the considered opinion is of auto vs manual. Also is 170,000 miles a lot for this engine and what costs are likely to be needed? Any other points would be gratefully received. THANKS
Thank you SLKen for the information. Is the updated R171 much of an improvement over the earlier model and is it obvious which model you are looking at? Last question - are all automatics 'Tiptronic' or is this a special feature? I like the look of your car by the way.
Thanks also to JABB I will now only look at automatics! I am pleased that you advise against such a high mileage - as you say there are some lower mileage cars at reasonable prices.
