Hi Jim,
Great to hear that Jak lived on in spirit - and sounds like the engine certainly had a new lease of life. I've been without Alfas for a long time now - but would love to get another .
Thank for sharing the photo - brings back good memories.
All the best
Dave
It was a bloody good car that! Great to hear that Jak lived on in spirit - and sounds like the engine certainly had a new lease of life. I've been without Alfas for a long time now - but would love to get another .

Last Indian Summer I met Frank and his beautiful GTV 2000, built and restored by the very same garage that looks after our 147.
We took the car for a quick spin and shot a few pics. The story I wrote was published in the Dutch Alfa Romeo Owners Club mag 'Het Klaverblaadje' (181). I will drop a few if you like.
The lighting conditions were unsuitable for a proper photoshoot, so I quickly took a few shots. However, for a national classic car magazine, a skilled photographer would typically be commissioned to capture better images for the publication. In the end this never happened. They rejected my version of the story and requested that I make changes. Given the ultimatum to either comply or decline, I chose to reject their offer. It's my story
Frank is happy with his new Bertone car. He also has a Simca 1000 Coupé by Bertone. The special green clour is 'Verde Oliva metallizzato'.

The incredible story of Gino who was curious about an old Daf 33 when at school and thus started to understand classic cars are so much more fun to work on.
A few years ago he built this Tulip Rally winning Alfa Romeo Giulia. Great guy, great car.
This road legal hot rod is now sold and Gino built another national rally chap: a Giulia GT Veloce which came in 2nd at the recent Tulpen Rallye.

Wouldn’t it be preferable if the top of the roll cage’s oblique strut attached above the driver’s head?A few years ago he built this Tulip Rally winning Alfa Romeo Giulia. Great guy, great car.

Both Remco and Albert are average size. Anyway, they won the 2017 https://nl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tulpenrallye Tulpen Rallye.
More of that Alfa Romeo saturday: trip with 20 enthusiasts to the Arese workshop (engine rebuilder), Van Neerijnen (Alfa specialist) and Tachyon (classic and modern racing, turbo tech and marine stuff). Pretty good day.
At a recent meeting I commented on the lovely colour! Loving the wheels and ride height on this 1973 Giulia 1300 Super.
All lined up. Well, only half of our Alfa posse in this shot. All sorts of everything. From late 50s Sprint to recent Giulia sedan.
Nice S4 Spider next to the 1300.
Trusty FWD gang: two litre 2006 147 and 2003 GTa 3.2 V6 animal (270ps).
1975 GTV 2000 on my tail en route to our first coffeestop. And I want one.
