Took delivery of my 159Ti on Jan 2nd 2008
Just racked up 6000 miles and I'm over the moon with it apart from the fuel economy as it only delivers around 32 miles to the gallon on a run.(average motorway speed 80mph)
I understand that the 2.4 wont be as good as the 1.9 but this type of economy is simaler to my Discovery which weighs 2t and has a 2.7d in it so its not very good.

Has anyone else getting a simaler MPG or do I have a problem.

The car is fantastic, handles like its on rails, pulls like a train, gorgeuos wrap around leather heated seats and you dont see many about unlike BMW's and Audi's.

Would love to hear from any 159 users with the 2.4d under the bonnet

I work for the Fiat group and im going back to Balloco (the alfa test track in Italy) in Sep for a meeting and i will be asking why they produce a 2.4d that delivers this MPG unlike my brothers Audi which has a 2.5d and delivers 40+MPG.

I will let you all know what is said!!!

Meanwhile I'll carry on enjoying the performance, handling, looks and postive comments from other petrol heads.

Thanks for all of your responces

Sam
