147 owners look in ....is Alfa 147 Reliable (2nd hand 50+k)

I am looking for a new nippy car and love the look of these but have heard horor stories from a few freinds, are they that bad? hopefully a few of you would tell me your experiences i am looking to spend between £3000-3500 on one.

I dont want to buy a money pit.

My 147 2.0 manual 5dr has now done 99,000 miles. I bought it brand new in 2001.

The cambelt went at 47K, whilst it was booked in for a service.

Other than that it's been fantastic and very reliable.

I might sell it soon as I need a bigger car - PM me if you're interested.
