Griff headlight deflectors?

Hi i posted this on the Griff forum but seem to have got several answers that basically said don`t bother.Any further suggestions bearing in mind the headlamp fairings/covers?.Martin

Ive never bothered in any car!
This is the first time for me in the griff and guess what....Im not bothering!

Do you intend to drive around at night a lot?

I cant see that the griff lights would actually dazzle anyone anyway. They barely attract moths!

I have never bothered either Martin, them Griff lights are just too dim to bother anyone.
Although now i have the brighter lights i Might add a bit of black tap to the Fairings.
Honestly though I sometimes venture out to arnage on the Saturday night in the motor and its really busy so and slow so not much chance of blinding anyone.

BB, Were in Houx Annexe with the Banana on a Pole along with The George Flag, PH and TVR Flag, so come over Martin if you see it for a beer.

Halfords do a kit, with discrete deflectors and instructions for upwards of 80 different types of headlight design - including many modern clear lenses.
About £6, IIRC
Much better than the noddy like hard plastic jobs that we used to have to put up with.

I feel that you should fit them - the gendarmes will be looking for any excuse to bang you up if you are pulled. Damage limitation!

Don't give your hard earnings to halfrauds, do what I do. Drive up to within about 2ft of wall or similar on a level surface, turn on your headlights and your notice that your beam pattern runs horizontally, but 'kicks up' on the right hand side. Then simply using insulation cover the relevant area on the headlight lens/cover to eliminate the 'kick up'.5 minutes. Job done. Don't have a Griff(one day), but this will work with any car.

thanks for the advice...........tried the wall thing last night but the defraction through the headlight fairing made it a total waste of time.......i may just put some on for `show`!
I`ll look you BB, we`ll have a big union Jack on our tent...........but then so will everybody else!........Martin
